Message The problem I ran into with Audio control is it only took a single line input. With a head unit of multiple outputs and ease of indash control, you'll lose it. For people that listen to the radio, maybe hear the news, songs, DVD, multiple things like that, they have to have the in dash control. You can say a properly tuned system won't need nothing but volume, but you're full of it becuase all things are recorded/broadcasted differently. So, with a 3 line output from Seedy's source unit, he has to get mulitple Audio Control units or he loses his ease of interface. Another problem is some of their stuff don't take a high level input that many units are putting out now. They are awesome for pure tuning and clean power, but in real day applications, Audio Control isn't always the "BEST" choice as you say. losing interface, losing high level input, and having multiple units. <=== one or more may apply to many different setups.
I've used Audio Control in many systems and have always thought they were the best in sound and tuning, but not always the best choice for all around application.
The EPICENTER you mentions, NO, it's NOT a must for every system. I had to adjust my PPI up because the low bass was picking up some really nasty recording equipment noises with lower quality CD's and radio stations. Not to mention, it was beating the shit out of my car. I can promise you, the EPICENTER would not have brought anymore out than I already had. I had much more than anyone in their right mind, daily listener would have wanted.
